Long time no see...

WELL NOW!! It has been a long time since I posted here last. SO much has happened in a year and I wanted to update anyone who still cares. LOL

We are now expecting our 3rd son on July 29th and are SO excited. He is going to be dressed in pink all the time because I really need a girl around here. I always wanted to be surrounded by men, but not ones I had to care for all the time!

I am going to try to blog more this summer to keep some of my friends around here updated and may consider posting pictures - depends on how safe I feel with my blog traffic. :) Have a great day and I will write again in the morning!!!

Tagged by Jillybean - 5 things about me....

It is suppose to be 5 things about myself that I have never told before on my blog.... I am kind of personal, so this may be a bit difficult for me, but here ya go.

1. I have long, light brown hair that hangs to my waist. It is naturally curly in ringlets that look like a piggy back perm... (remember those)

2. I LOVE oreo cookies, enough said.

3. I drive a Harley Davidson motorcycle. Both my husband and I have our own bikes.

4. I would do anything to protect my family, no matter what. My husband calls me mamma bear because of that.

5. I am FIERCLEY loyal and if you are my friend I will defend you the same way.

That is a glimpse at me.....

Martha Stewart rant.....

I love the holidays and try my leve best NOT to be in a rush. To play as much Christmas music that I can, make cookies, craft, rest and comtemplate what the season is about. I told David that we are not going to be buying much for gifts this year, not only can we not afford it - that is not what it's about and I am determined that it be about Christ. I want to decorate the house yard and such, but dont care if Martha Stewart would approve, as long as the kids help and have fun with it. When ya have little kids, Martha dont count. She only had one daughter do when it comes to rallying the troops to do somthing together, she falls short..... Easy to buy all the "good things" when you only buy them for one. Has anyone noticed I am on a Martha bashing post today? :) She just annoys me at times. If she had a budget, that did not include baloga caviar, or brass/copper mesh screen, or fabric that is $20 a yard (if its yarn that's $20, completley differant story)she would not be the "good thing" that she has become. Give her a mop, 4 boys - 2 hounds and a cat running through the house with mud on their feet and miss Martha would get bent!! I think the reason she is bugging me today is that she sets a standard/lifestyle that most of us cant afford or acomplish. She waves in front of us we most of us will never have, and probably dont want. I think she is a lonely bitter woman that has nothing better to do than flaunt the money that she already had and then make more. Now if she wants to impress me, come on over and live like I do for just a month. Or have normal people on her show, not the celebs that get all the attention anyway. She has gardeners to take care of her garden, she has housekeepers that clean for her, she has cooks that think of her ideas and ya know she doesnt wash her own cloths!!!! There, I think I have purged the anger for Martha...hope you can all forgive me. Rachel Ray is gonna outdo Martha soon I think, at least for us working class people. She seems to be more down to earth, buy it at goodwill kinda gal. I like that, she can improvise and can settle for a little bit less and not feel that she is above that. Maybe I am wrong, never met her, but her "persona" seems to be such. Gotta go - kids are getting up and I have tons to do before work today. What a subject to start the day with...

Well this is me I guess.....

You Are An ENFJ

The Giver

You strive to maintain harmony in relationships, and usually succeed.
Articulate and enthusiastic, you are good at making personal connections.
Sometimes you idealize relationships too much - and end up being let down.
You find the most energy and comfort in social situations ... where you shine.

You would make a good writer, human resources director, or psychologist.

Borrowed this idea from my friend Jill - a day in the life of Heidi....

4:00 - 4:30 wake up and get coffee ready, start first of my usual 6 loads

4:30 wake up hubby and the older boys for chores.

5:00 hang out 1st load of cloths and put another in - try to have a few minutes of sensable conversation with hubby.

5:30 hubby and boys leave for the barn I clean up coffee cups, make up beds, feed the cat, clean the bird cage. This lasts about an hour.....

6:45 get the boys up, fed breakfast, beds made, washed up for the day after eating and then they like to watch - The Littles....

7:30 Hang out second load of cloths and put in 3rd load.

8:00 Hubby calls and wants eggs, pancakes for breakfast. get breakfast started for 3 men over the age of 18.....(kill the fatted calf)

9:00 get everyone fed breakfast and get ready for church within an hour...dish's are left for when we get home.

10-11:30 church

11:30 get home from church clean up breakfast mess and get homemade pizza ready for lunch. hang out cloths and put in another load

1:00 clean up lunch mess put baby down for a nap, rest of the family takes a nap. I go pick the ripe tomato's in my garden.

2:30 have a cup of coffee, have another cup of coffee, another cup of coffee...how many was that? :) hang out cloths put in load

2:45 get family up and get the older boys and hubby off to the farm for evening chores and bailing hay..

3:00 mow the yard while baby rides in the tractor with hubby bailing big round bales. Yes it is safe, there is a cab on this tractor with a little seat for him...

4:30 get hamburger out of freezer for supper, dig some fresh potato's out of garden for supper. hang out cloths and take first 2 loads off line, put another load in.

4:45 start canning 8 quarts of stewed tomato's, cut up peppers from the garden and put them in the dehydrator for soup and chilli in the winter.

5:30 hang out cloths bring in all the ones that are dry and put in last load till they come home from the barn then I can start the piles all over for the next day!!

6:30 finish canning tomato's start this blog...

I still have to finish supper, give kids a bath, take off the last of the cloths, clean up supper and make somthing sweet to eat...

To be serious this is an average day for me - other than the canning, that I really enjoy. Thanks for the idea Jill - I had to write all of this down so I could remember what/when I did it...when does the me time come in again? :)

The rift between the sex's

Have you wondered why there is such a rift between the sex's? I have and more frequently as of late..... I think men want us to feel this way so that we continue to do most of the work in our relationships. Think about it they already know that we do more than they do and that if they show the slightest interest in becoming more invloved we stand on our head and "toot" the star spangeled banner in thanks to them for it. I think they keep us this way with the hopes that soon they wont have to do anything in the relationship and we can do it all.....little do they know we already do. Just rambleing today cuz I am disapointed with they hubby monster. I dont ask for much, but when I do ask for somthing I at least want an effort.. men.
